Lenin's Obituary

Lenin Hernandez Rosas, 38, a longtime resident of the Hillsboro community, passed away November 16, 2022 at her sister’s home.

Lenin was born January 28, 1984 in Hillsboro, OR. She was the fourth of six children, born to Juan Arana Perez and Maria Reyes Hernandez. She was raised in Hillsboro and attended Hillsboro Public schools. She then attended PCC and Graduated from PSU with a bachelor’s degree.

She met her future husband, Marcos Rosas Martinez, while out at a dance. They started dating in February of 2003 and married in December the same year in Hillsboro. They had three children: Eliseo, Andre and Maria. They made their home on the outskirts of Hillsboro.

Lenin had previously worked as a substitute teacher for Hillsboro Public Schools. She then began working in the insurance industry, as well as running her and her husband’s own construction business from home. She was incredibly hard-working and motivated.

Lenin was a devoted and loving mother to her children and family. She was very close to her siblings, but loved to spending time with her children. She was a master cook and enjoyed making tacos and chicken soup. She and Marcos loved to dance and listen to authentic Mexican music. She was an avid gardener, raising flowers and vegetables, as well as chickens. She kept a neat and tidy home and took great pride in her family. She enjoyed the outdoors, traveling and doing activities as a family.

She is preceded in death by her sister, Gabriela Jimenez Perez.

She is survived by her loving husband, Marcos Rosas Martinez, three children, Eliseo Galindo of St Helens, Andre Rosas Perez and Maria Abigail Rosas of Hillsboro, her mother and step father, Maria Reyes Hernandez and Ismael Delgado, both of Hillsboro, a granddaughter, Aria, four siblings  Liduvi Perez Hernandez, Juan Perez Hernandez, Linda Perez Hernandez, and Jaime Delgado Hernandez, as well as many nieces and nephews.
